Penny Temblay

Northern Lights Presentations

Since 1989, Penny has been involved with helping adults achieve their goals.  Beginning in 1988 with a direct sales 100% commission position, Penny started Northern Lights Presentations, and built a team of sales representatives to service Northern Ontario.  It was in this role that she discovered her passion for motivating people to set goals, and inspiration to help achieve them.  Today, a souvenir plaque hangs on her office wall to congratulate her for achieving over one million dollars in team sales.

Following her passion, Penny pursued a certificate program titled “Teacher of Adults” at Cambrian College and gained experience teaching one day seminars on the subjects of office automation, software applications, the internet and other computer related topics.  Northern Lights Presentations developed a clientele requiring office automation, specifically in the area of web solution development.  “With my network of clients, a vision, and a few programmers and graphic artists, Northern Lights has quite an extensive portfolio of web solutions for small businesses, dental offices and world class educators.  Today we service client needs for website design and strategies, including email marketing and customer relationship development.”

While working with many organizations and individuals to help them over the learning curve of computer applications, Penny ventured back into the human side of motivation with leadership seminar topics that she still delivers today under the name “The Tremblay Leadership Center”.  Communication, Leadership, Time Management, Work Life Balance, Team Building, Customer Service, and delivering Exceptional Presentations are among a few of her most sought after subjects.  Penny works with organizations across Canada and the United States by delivering custom seminars, keynote speeches and workshops.  Her flair for motivation and core business skills training ensure that the learning gets delivered, with lasting results.

In late 2004, Penny made a decision to take her focus off of the money side of business, and start working on purpose.  With a desire to help millions of people achieve their goals, Penny began to reach out to those who were eager to learn concepts of leadership by writing monthly articles and circulating them as a professional courtesy.  Her circulation list has since grown to over 2000 recipients who have opted to receive her material each month, and several international print and online journals who feature her written material.  “This has been the most powerful advertising and referral system that drives revenue for my companies” says Tremblay, not surprised of her living proof that when you use your talents to serve humanity, permanent abundance follows.  “This was my unique way of working on purpose, and not a strategy from an accounting prospective.  Life in business is somewhat of a roller coaster at times, but I have a mentor who plays a very significant role in my business.  He has a completely different approach to business success, which often makes his lessons and advice difficult for me to accept, but he is usually correct with his judgment and business sense.  The synergy that comes from having a different prospective in business has helped me a great deal.  I am committed to help others the same way that I have learned lessons.”

Penny is a founding member of the North Bay and Area Toastmasters club, and mentor to the newly formed corporate club “Cementation Toastmasters”.  In 2008 Penny received the highest communication recognition that the Toastmaster International organization offers demonstrating excellence in communication.  As founding coauthor of the first “You’re My Hero – North Bay” book, Penny played a role in the donation of over $27,000 to the North Bay community given from the proceeds of book sales.  As my role of author is constantly developing, I am learning that writing regularly is most likely how I will be able to reach out to millions of people.

Penny is a native of Sudbury, Ontario, but resides with in North Bay and spends time off with her first love, her family, husband David Neil, Kendra, Ryan and Sierra.
